Hey Viasat Leadership,
I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to take a moment to reach out about some observations and maybe add a bit of my own experience to the mix.
I can’t help but recall those times I tried to steer the ship away from Supermicro. Fast forward to today, and I can't shake the feeling of "I told you so" seeing Elon Musk's xAI jump ship to Dell with a $6 billion order. It’s a bit bittersweet watching it unfold.
Recent challenges—like satellite setbacks, ethical rumblings, and revenue dips—are clear signs that it might be time for a fresh direction. These aren’t easy things to navigate, but they’re also opportunities to rethink strategies and bounce back stronger.
I was in a position to lead Viasat forward, but as we all know, leadership decided to go in a "different direction." How's that working out for you all now?
Sometimes, the value of a fresh perspective is only clear after the fact.
So, Mark Dankberg and team, consider this an encouragement to embrace change. This industry’s all about staying ahead and being ready to pivot when needed. Viasat has the potential to not just overcome these hurdles but to excel and lead the way.
Thanks for taking this in stride. I’m rooting for Viasat to turn things around and make a roaring comeback.
I stand my initial assessment to my last Viasat Manager - You all have a severe Leadership Failure. A Leadership Failure by choice, no less!
Cheers,
Alan McAlexander
